I have a 1922 12 Ideal grade with a split barrel and was told it couldn't be fixed. The 4 inch split is just past the fore end, it happened while hunting, luckily I was on the end of the line. Is this something that can be fixed/replaced (for a price)? It was my first Smith and I would love to have it back in working order.
