    Shooting 2.62" shells (I assume this is the open case length) in 2 1/2" chambers will increases pressure somewhat, but more significantly increases recoil, not good for the graceful and elegant LC stocks.
    The closest smith that I can recomend is Bill Schwarz in Elijay, Ga., 706-276-7668.
    There are step-by-step pics of Dr Bill glasbedding a stock on the 'Long Cracked Smith Repair' album on the Home Page Photo Trail, and infro about posting pics on the FAQs.
