Mike: the Venturi effect and Bernoulli's principle make it easier to generate low pressure through a big tube (12g) than a small tube. And the Gamebore (and B&P) pressures are measured by CIP (European and British) standards, and are a few 100 psi higher when measured by the SAAMI (US) standards.
