value of a Fulton L C Smith Archived Message

I aquired a field grade L C Smith 12 ga. hammerless, serial number F 123566 with 26" barrels. I looked it up, and it was manufactured in 1929. The stock has a rather big piece missing behind the trigger assembly, and the safety does not work. The butt plate is not L C Smith. What is this shotgun worth, in a ball park price? Would it be worth fixing it up?
