I have an O grade LC, which has a serial number of 47447 and my question is, did this model reset the safety to on when breaking the action open? I believe this gun was built in 1898, but I don't know about the safety. I don't see anything in the action that would reset it, and it doesn't reset automatically. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
