Has anyone who has taken an elsie apart notice two punch marks on the tang left hand side. I have seen this before on a couple others I have. This one is from a 1927 Field Grade Longrange. Sometimes this was done to make a tighter fit, but not where wood is concerned.  The top lever shaft is not bent, just distorted from the picture. |
