I have a 1946 field grade in nice original condition and have owned it for two years.I just recently noticed the color of the finish has red tints to it as compared to other stocks stained with walnut. I plan on refinishing an older 1927 field grade and would like to get a color and maybe the finish close to the original. Thanks for any input. Steve
