    Grade 2 stock configuration Archived Message

    Just ran across a grade 2 in fair condition, 12 ga, extractor, i would say the gun is 25 to 35% original finish, mechanically sound, Here's the question, it has a beaver tail forend and raised cheek piece stock, wood very sound, did Smith produce such guns with this type stock and forend, if it was restocked it occurred a long time ago as the overall patina is the same, the wood to meatal fit is perfect, the man is asking 1300 for the gun, can probably get it for 1100, not sure if this is a good deal or not.
