    Craig: there are several FAQs regarding chamber length and ammo on the Home Page.
    And (other than North Carolina) you're in the middle of LC restoration central
    I'd suggest discussing with the smith a 'clean up/refurbish' vs. a full resoration, which is to return the gun to like new condition and would likely cost several thousand dollars.
