    John: Some of the old ads say W. & C. Scott & Son's (singular possessive) and other ads use Sons (Plural, but not possessive) when referring to the guns. How many Scott sons were there? I believe there was only one. But according to a well-known poet:

    One Scott, two Scotts, Red Scott, Blue Scott;
    This one had a little car, that one had a little star;
    What a bunch of Scotts there are.
