Vince, I'm in the shop 8-5 M-F EDT, 252-637-1287. The Silver repro I have from Jeff's mic's at 0.986 inches. Therefore whether it would help or not depends on the one in place,i.e., it's thickness. Also is the stock flat or concave at the recoil pad? Is there a "widow's peak" on the current pad?(The Silver's has one.) So there is no simple answer to the question-sorry. Best, BILL
