Patterned one of my Field Grades today. Turkey season opens here on Oct. 1st and runs the entire month. This field grade has 30 barrels and is choked Imp/Full.

First two pictures are of the patterns obtained at 30 yards using the Federal Vintage Gold Medal ammo, which has a 7/8 oz. payload of #7.5 shot. Pressures are at 5000 psi.

Next two pictures are my turkey loads: Federal Game Shok 1 1/8oz of #4 shot. These shots were again taken at 30 yards. The Improved cylinder barrel of course is not adequate at this range at keeping a tight pattern for a turkey's head, but under 20 yards, it will be deadly. The Full choke barrel throws a very tight pattern and will absolutely demolish a turkey at 30 yards. I didn't pattern it at 40 yards as I try to keep my shots under 30 yards. I would not be surprised though to find the Full choke barrel still within tolerance of a clean kill at that range.

I plan on patterning some #5 shot in the same load to see if the patterns get better. The cardboard squares are approximately 25"x25".
