Far as I've been able to figure out that's not the case, it's too hard and might damage the barrels. But that same company has a new cartridge coming out that's loaded with a new softer variety of Hevi-Shot that is vintage gun safe. I just heard about them the other day, they're called Hevi-Shot Classic Doubles. Supposedly Mack's Prairie Wings will have the sole distribution rights at first so you might give them a call and see when they're going to be available.
