Hi all, I have recently seen work re-cut on an LC by Ellis Sawyer of Washington, N.C. Ellis has been engraving for some years and does this type of work while being retired. I believe Dr. Bill who has seen Ellis' work will agree that he does good work. The piece I saw yesterday was from the shop of Mr. Schwartz (sp?) and he has also done the same type of work for Wind River.

For those of you who wish to restore the origional engraving from the factory, Ellis offers very fast & inexpensive service. I have been impressed with the quality of his work after seeing quite a bit of it & feel safe in urging you to use his talents. Ellis would also forward the action to Classic Guns as they use the origional formular that LC used in color casing . FWIW, Ken
