Magazine Ads on the Website Archived Message

Posted by Jim Stubbendieck on August 30, 2007, 9:09 am

We've placed a new page on the website containing nearly 100 L.C. Smith magazine ads from 1909 to 1945. Some of them are very interesting. For example, see the 1942 ad featuring a German aircraft and a duck. New features, such as the Hunter One-Trigger, were heavily advertised. Many ads appeared in the late 1920s, numbers were low during the depression of the 1930s, and they fizzled out with offers of rust proofing in 1945.

You can access the page by going to the Home page, clicking on History, and going to Magazine Ads. Or, you use this link:

If you have other L.C. Smith magazine ads, please send a 300 dpi scan to me, and we will add them to the page.
