That is a pretty good amount of shooting. It is wise to shoot the light loads your shooting or perhaps even lighter with a 7/8 oz load when shooting so many rounds. More importantly, has the gun been glass bedded? If not, shooting it that much I think would tend to cause problems down the road with cracks in the stock.

Glass bed the head of the stock, and in my humble opinion, shooting light loads at this volume would be ok. Save the heavier loads for hunting, etc...where there is not that large volume of shells being spent through your fine Elsie.

This is a common subject and more info can be found on the FAQ page on this site. Besides lighter loads, one should watch the pressures generated. Several modern target loads have tremendous pressure at 10,000 psi plus...that is not a good idea either, as it's stated on the FAQ page, 8500 psi or lower is recommended. Hope this helps you out some.
