This reminds me of my dog Skipper. Just black and white dog who could run a rabbit, tree a squirrel and kill a snake. I came home on leave in the fall of '68 after being gone two years he met the car just raising sand. I got out and he stopped and looked for a second or two then ran to me and up to my shoulder before I could catch him. I couldn't hug my mom because I couldn't get rid of the dog. The next year when I came home he had gone to the Rainbow Bridge.
