I am currently shooting these Federal Gold Medal shells from MidWay.

Dove season opens on the 1st...and I have a big patch of sunflowers waiting for me. I will let you know how they do on "live" critters. Shooting clays and just "fun" shooting at targets, etc...these shells seem to be fine. The test won't be complete though until I see how they perform in the field taking down real game. I had my gun glass bedded and thus planned on using these only for clays and target practice. My plan for general hunting was to use the Federal Game-shok loads of 2 3/4" 1 1/8oz of what ever shot I want. These are under 8500 psi if I recall correctly and with the glass bedding I should have no problem with them as a hunting load. Granted, I won't be shooting hundreds of shells in one afternoon with these loads.
