    Thanks for your kind words John, and we've got 7-8 more FAQs to add in Sept. including "What happened to W.H. Baker?", "What recoil pads did Hunter Arms use?", "How were Smith stocks finished?', and "How do I check POI?"
    Jason H. appropriately suggested I clarify one issue regarding Murphy's Oil Soap-here's the statement on the FAQ: "Dr. Drew uses Murphy's Oil Soap especially if there is LOTS of grime and old flaking varnish." Let me emphasize the "old flaking varnish" part because it WILL REMOVE THE ORIGINAL VARNISH. When I've used Murphy's Oil in the past, the stock was left with was a nice 'oil' finish, that I then protected with wax as described. With ANY product, it's always a good idea to use some on the inner surface of the forend just to see how your finish might react. Please let us know how your gun cleans up.
