    Bill congratulations on your purchase. The barrels have to be rust blued, if you hot blue them there is a chance that you might loosen the solder on the barrels and rib. Rust bluing can cost from $150-$300. Doing the barrrels yourself can be done just time consuming. Re-finishing the wood isn't hard, and if there are any dents you can use a steam iron and raise them out. I try not to take some of the scratches out, just shows the gun was used.
    If the gun is a 12 ga, anywhere from $300-$800 and condition is everything. The smaller guages bring more.
    In finding an authentic buttplate, good luck. There are replacements out there and most of the old guns the buttplates are brittle.
