I appreciate the help on this. After owning 10 or 12 hammer shotguns from various manufactures, it was real had for me to fathom the elsie's design that did not have firing pin return springs. I am amazed at the weath of knowledge that is on this forum. My hat is off to all you folks. I hope to meet some of you at a Vintagers shoot someday.
