I looked long and hard into getting this 03 FFL license or otherwise named the C & R license. Simply put, many dealers now a days will no ship to ANYONE without the 01 FFL. Even though the law states such guns that fall under the protection of the 03 license, I have more times than not found that it will not work. Just my thoughts...maybe it's different where you live. I know a few of the more notable dealers that attend all the big shows WILL NOT ship to a C&R license holder. So in the end, it's not worth it to me as it doesn't do anything.

My local FFL charges $25.00 to transfer ownership. He is not the most pleasant guy and doesn't know much, he is only a few miles a way and his price is fair. I only buy/ship a few guns a year anyway so I chose not to purchase a license.

Wish my dad would have kept his dealer FFL but he didn't deal much anymore with all of us boys hunting, etc...and he let it pass, he regrets it now too!
