wow what a great site. I got a call from a great aunt who had a gift for me. My Great uncle's hunting "gun" as she called it. I picked it up today. It's a L.C. Smith Ideal grade 20 ga. I looked up the serial number (109055) and the site gives me 1928. On that page it did say there was some confusion with overlap and the different companies. The serial number has no letters with it. Am I reading this correctly? Also, there is a "dial" i guess you'd call it under the double barrel where your left hand goes (i'm right handed), what is this? My other 20 ga does not have it. Any help would be appreciated.
