I inherited a l.c.Smith from my grand father and am having trouble dating it. It has 21 3/4" barrels that don't seem to have been sawn off as it still has a front sight and shows no saw marks. L.C.Smith is ingraved on the lock plates with simple ingraving. 3 patent dates mar 29 83,july 13 86,and 0ct 86. serial #38075 and a 2 stamped on the water table. a serial # on the ejector wheel and also the serial # on the barrels (same on all 3). also the patent date june 1 80 on the fore stock. There are no stamps indicating Co. or state on it. I would appreciate any help with this
