I stand corrected; it is an 11-48, not a 47. How's the old saying go about a little knowledge being a dangerous thing? My humble apologies.
Hard to imagine an autoloading shotgun being described as cute, but in this case it is an apt description. I bought it for little or nothing (considering how well made it appears to be) just to learn a bit about 28-bore ballistics and have actually had great fun (and no small sucess) with it. The 28 shell looks more akin to a .410 to me (a pocket-full of them seem like nothing), but it seems to shoot very much like a 20. I'm frankly shocked by it's lethality on birds as big as ruffed and even blue grouse. (Now all I have to do is find a proper and affordable double in that bore!)
The English, I've read, have a saying about how a proper "Gentleman" doesn't need a third shot. I guess any hope for my gentlemanly status is in great doubt now.
