Hello Dan, Send your LCS to Dewey Vicknair to have the ribs relaid. Dewey's phone number is 717-733-2145, his email is dvicknair@dejazzd.com

The top or bottom rib on a LCS does not just come loose. Something much worse has led to this rib problem. I will guess that one of two things has happened to this LCS to cause part of the lower rib to pop off. My first guess would be that one of the chambers or forcing cones has been swelled slightly by shooting the wrong ammo in the shotgun and this swelling broke the bond of the solder holding the rib in place. I am talking about very very very minor swelling of the outside of the barrels around the end of the chamber area or the forcing cone area. I have a 20 gauge that has this exact problem in the shop being repaired and restored right now.

My second guess as to the cause of the rib coming loose would be to say that the barrels were reblued incorrectly. The incorrect bluing formula destroyed the solder and now the ribs are coming loose.

In either case Dewey can repair the shotgun. Pictures of Dewey's work or posted here and on other web sites.

    Good Shooting To You, Jent
