The theft of the guns this past weekend at the Palomino Motel was something we all need to be made aware of when traveling with High Grade guns or Shooters. In a perfect would you could leave your guns in the car or truck and feel safe about their security. But we DO NOT live in a perfect world. Between Chris and myself we had 19 L C Smiths with us. Most were for the LCSCA display and two were for shooting clays. We considered leaving them at Deep River, but there was somthing about a canvas tent that raised some security questions with us. It was a hassle packing up and taking them back to the Motel each evening and then carring them into the motel room. As for security, there were two 45ACP hand guns, one on each night stand cocked, locked, and loaded if needed. For some reason we seem to make ourselves victims by not beliving that this is NOT a perfect world.Had we left our guns in the Hummer,we too could have been victims. Our room was just around the corner from Jim's..
