Thank you so much for you response. After reading it, I did some more research on the site. Since the gun is from 1901, does this mean that it must be a 16 gauge? From the serial number page, it seems like there were no 20 gauges made at this time.
Do you think it is safe to use with low pressure shells? A friend of the family had mentioned that you cannot use modern day ammo. Does low pressure do the trick, or is there something else I should be concerned about? The gun is in beautiful condition, and I would like to be able to use from time to time.
I live in western massachusetts in Berkshire County. If you know of a doublegun specialist smith nearby that would be great. I would like to have someone go over the gun.
