My whole point is that the serial number dates it to 1911, again 2 years before the Specialty came out. Crown steel barrels were offered on the NO. 2 gun at this time. Why would Hunter Arms let a set of barrels and a receiver sit around for 2 years without using them. It would be interesting to see what serial numbers are stamped on the inside of the sideplates.
