David. What do you mean by clunker? I have two Elsies. One model O with no case color left and the blueing is gone from the barrells. Do I consider this a clunker? No way. It's got a real nice prince of wales stock on it and sure knocks down the grouse.Cleaned everything up and keep the metal coated with militech1. Then I found a field grade, 30 " barrells full and full. Case color is great, blueing is great on the barrells, Only problem was the forend. So I made a new one. Copied it off of the model O. I did one hell of a nice job. I'll get the barrells opened up and use it grouse hunting next fall. It's just a nice feeling when out hunting that I'm using a 100 year old or next year only an eighty year old gun. You know I think the old dog even works harder when I have the Elsie along. Iknow they sure look good on my wall. Just proud of my old CLUNKERS.
