    Raised Cheek Piece Archived Message

    Good morning all,
I'm not a collector, but I do own and use several shotguns. One of my guns is a 1912 'O' grade with ejectors and a raised cheek piece stock. I've recently had a good deal of work performed on her to maintain safe shooter status and the gunsmith, a frequent contributer to this forum, indicates that the stock is indeed original to the gun and is numbered accordingly. He also indicated that in all his pull aparts and put togethers he's never seen another. I've been through my copy of Mr. Houchins new book, many gun shows, and most if not all of the RevDocDrew's picture trails and still not seen another. The feature is referred to in the new book as an available option, but it must not have been a very popular one. Does any one else here on the forum have a raised cheek piece stock on their L.C. Smith?
