28 inch barrels on a 1904 00 grade Archived Message

Thanks again for the info. I sure wish that these guns could talk, what a lesson in history they could tell. Does anyone know how common the 28 inch barrel with the two sight beads are on a 1904 00 grade? Was this even an option back then? I thought most came with 30 inch mod/full. I am going to try to send a picture with the WR or WK mark and the C marks on the bottom of the barrels. I understand that the Smith guns did not come with choke marks but this seems to coincidental since the diameter measurement of the end of the barrel matches the same diameter as a Briley choke marked (Cylinder) that I have for another 12Ga that I own. It looks original, but could these barrels been added later.
