JLF, I'm confused now, According to the new book "The Legend Lives" and Brophy's book the Trap Grade that you are describing along with your serial number puts this gun at 1925. They stopped putting numbers for grades around 1913 (example 0 grade).
Double barrel trap guns were first offered in 1920 in grades Specialty, Eagle ,Crown and Monogram. They all came with auto ejectors, Hunter One-Trigger and Beavertail forend, but not ventilated ribs until 1926. Plus they would have a "T" stamped on the water table, like you described.
The lacquer over the case colors would be correct to protect the colors.
The price seems very good, but be aware that "unseen" problems might be there. Is there any way that you could get an inspection time to have things looked over.
What I'm thinking now is that the "o" marking you are talking about stamped on the water table could be the stamp that Hunter Arms used for the Hunter One-Trigger. To be sure of the grade, look at the barrels near the water table and see what type of steel was used ie, Crown, London, etc., they don't mention a Field Grade in the Trap Grade.
