Info from Walker about New L.C. Smith book Archived Message

Walker wanted me to post this info about the new book on site: The edition number has nothing to do with the order in which the books are shipped. It only corresponds to the chronological order in which I received the original order and payment-assuring a low number to early purchasers. The author has some number blocks in reserve and most of the earliest that were made available to customers were numbered in the 50's and 60's. Frankly, to me there is no difference between book xx and book xyz.
We are not likely to endure the publishing process again. Since the future decision to reprint would be in my court anyway, neither edition of the book will probably be reprinted for the same reason L.C.Smith shotguns are no longer made. The market for L.C. Smith guns & books while very educated & well off financially, is shrinking every year. Even number of the venerable Parker guns, which essentially are box locks with a lot of nice engraving on them, available for sale has gone down dramatically in the last ten years.

We have only 100 books left in Monogram Edition and none will be sold to dealers and only one per customer from now on.

I printed this with permission from Walker Houchins.

I have not had time to really look at my new book, but am very pleased with what I've seen so far. It's the finest book that I own or ever will own. I think we owe John, Walker, Terry Allen and James Stubbendieck a debt of gratitude for their hard work and diligence in putting this book together. By the way, my book is the Deluxe Monogram Edition and it is perfect in every way.
    Regards,
