Jim is correct, your best bet is to check hanger lug to be certain of the type required; but typically, from the Ideal Grade upwards (to include graded guns fitted with manual extractors) forearms utilized the roller latch. This device not only held the iron in place much better than the standard spring type used on the Field Grade; but also provided a little more eye appeal (and additional justification for the added asking price over lower grades). As regards the ebony tip, any good wood wizard can easily duplicate and install a period correct ebony tip if you can locate an appropriate iron and fore wood.
