    re-fit of barrels Archived Message

I own a r-frame, "0" 16 ga (1906), with Damascus Steel barrels. I had the gunsmith check the barrels and found the soldier loose between the barrels. My Grandfather had the gun hot re-blued covering the everything. Also discovered was that the hinge pin needed to be replaced. So, my debate is either getting the barrels/hinge pin fixed or take a set of FW barrels (steel) and re-fit them on the reg. frame lug. Either adventure is expensive, but one I’m willing to take. Question is should I go for the re-fit or stay with the Damascus barrels? And who on the west coast does this kind of work? If this was covered earlier, I apologize.
