Beater or not, parts were all hand fit, that is why you can't take a stock from one to the other. As far as internal parts, from what I have read, yes the are interchangeable. 10 gauge and 12 gauge are the same. Not sure of 16 ga. and 20 ga. Except for the Damascene? (engine turned)side locks on the higher grades, the hammers, sears, mainsprings were the same. As far as I know.
