I can only give you some reasonable amount of information based on what you listed. My only source would be Blue Book of Gun Values, 26th Edition. Everything is based on condition. You did not list if it had a Hunter One-Trigger, , if it had a recoil pad and was it correct period.
16 ga are listed in the Blue Book as bringing 33% to close to 50% of a 12 ga., more. So Blue Book states Ideal Grade 90%=$1,500, 80%=$1,200,
    70%=$950, 60%=$850, etc.
The ejectors would bring $500 more if gun was valued at $1,500, you would also add $500 if the gun had the Hunter One-Trigger.
So now with it being an Ideal Grade 16 ga, with ejectors, "pretty good shape" (70%?)= $950.+ 16 ga.= + $400.+ ejectors $500.= total $1,850.
It all depends again on conition, and his condition will be different than yours.
You didn't specify what kind of "head repair".
Good luck and keep us posted.
