Did I ever remark/imply that I lacked, or had no respect for Walt? Absolutely not, in fact I have nothing but respect for the guy and have talked to him on several occassions; always finding him to be generous with his time, bubbling over with interesting tales of Smith guns, and just an awful lot of fun to talk with. I encourage all who wish to speak to Walt to him a call, as I am convinced that he will be just as gracious with them as he has been with me and everyone else. Personally, I also owe Walt a great deal of gratitude, as some incorrect information he once provided (neither of us knew it to be wrong at the time; just an honest mistake) inspired me to do my own research; and I have done a great deal of research since that time. I further submit that there is a lesson in my experience that everyone should observe; don't blindly take the word of an "expert" just because that expert says it is so, and that advice includes me! But my original point remains as stated, if someone professes to be THE "LC Smith Man" (afterall, that moniker can only be hung on one individual at a time in the entire world!); then I submit that individual should be associated with the LC Smith Collectors Association. Why, because not being associated with the LCSCA does a huge disservice to all LCSCA members; as non-members will, and do, connect his name and the "LC Smith Man" to this organization.
