Received 12 ga. Ideal Grade with Hunter One-Trigger, took replacement stock off just to look inside because of configuration of barrel selector being on safety. Barrel selector works like a three position safety, forward right barrel, center safe, rearward left barrel. On trigger plate housing is stamped Hunter One-Trigger, reverse side patent dates from ----22, 1898, Aug.1,1899, Oct.31,1899, Feb,19,1901, May 07,1901, May 21,1901, and Dec 15,1903. None of these dates are of Lard's patent. So, I'm guessing that these are Miller's patent dates. Brophy's book states that Millers Single Trigger was introduced in 1915 to L.C. Smith's. This gun circa 1928. Trigger works by shooting whatever barrel first, releasing and shooting again.
Brophy also states that the earlier Miller Single Trigger used the safety feature for the selector and the later style used the selector next to the trigger.
So, am I correct in saying that this is a Hunter One_Trigger with an early Miller's Single Selective Trigger?
