Ron with the information you gave, looks to be 1929. L.C. Smith's weren't usually marked as to chokes.
History is that it was made by the Hunter Arms Company. What is it worth, tough question, a lot of things to consider. if you are saying that it hasn't been shot, and the case colors look and have a nice sharp color of muted blues, greens, browns, yellowish on the receiver, and the barrels have a nice rich blue-black color and the checkering is still perfect, the wood has no scratches, dents, etc. Plus if the case is original to the gun from the factory, with those accessories, you are talking probably 98% condition, which is what collectors want, then you could get premium dollar. According to the Blue Book of Gun Values, 26th Edition is 95%=$1,250. plus 33% or more for 16 ga. Add the accessories if original to the company, the price is going up condsiderable. You would have to take it to someone who knows L.C. Smiths firsthand and have them appraise it for you. Insurance prices would be higher than a selling price.
If you could post some pictures, there are referrals on this site on how to do it.
Good luck, and keep us posted.
