    Mike, Rev.,Dr. Drew is right about "looking before leaping" and saving BIG bucks. If you have only the internet, then start with the various auction/sale sites to get a feel for price. Remember that CONDITION is 90% of the whole deal. There are also lots of sites like this one that answer question and have search their archive capability(you do no have to reinvent the wheel.) As far as the gun you are interested in, get the serial number(found on water table,barrel flats, and trigger guard as well as other hidden areas), barrel type and length, action type(hammers/hammerless), number of triggers, engraving-if any, and any letters on water table. With this information you will be able to look up production date and then look up guns of similar grade and their value. Again, CONDITION is the biggest factor. Good luck, Dr. BILL
