Hello, a chum of mine got a old LC Smith side by side when his dad passed away. It has the numbers 1269R, under the barrels. It says Pat. July 13, '86, or so it appears. Is this from 1886?
It also does not state what caliber it is, likely a 20, maybe a 28. It says LONDON STEEL, and HUNTER ARMS CORP, and FULTON NEW YORK.
What year was the fellow made? I would like to tell him something nice cause it was his Pop's gun.
