    All:

As an interested outsider and a very humbled guest of the organization, I was present at the Vegas Show.

    Amazing.

That is the only word I can think of to describe the weekend. It was agreed by all that the collection of Elsies displayed was the finest group of Smiths ever on display in one location (A2s, and A3, a Quality 7, TWO (count 'em - two) Deluxes - including Brophy's Deluxe). Glassy eyed stares and drool were common.

The interest in the organization and the ability of your directors and members to educate was apparent in the amount of visitors to the booth.

John Houchin's new book is wonderful. The information is much more in-depth than Brophy. The photography is striking. The size is immense. (Outstanding job to John, Jim, and Walker!)

Most of all, I do want to thank Dean, Frank, Jim, John, Andy, and all others for their hospitality in Las Vegas. Not only did you make the trip possible, but you also made it enjoyable and worthwhile!

    Very Sincerely,

    Dave K.
