I have a 12 ga. Field Grade that is virtually like new condition in every way. Problem is that when someone was admiring it, the gun slipped and took a sliver of the toe of the butt plate and stock. This happened over 35 years ago and the pieces are lost. Because of the condition of the gun, should I leave it alone or should I have it professionally repaired? If so, any ideas on who could do the work? Serial # is 1119xx.I trust the experts on this site. Lots of good info here and very friendly!
