I have a Field grade 20 ga. SXS manufactured in 1949, in wonderful condition. In many areas, the use of steel shot is required for waterfowl. I have been told by other hunters that the steel shot will damage the chokes on the L.C. Smith and by others that modern steel shot loads will not effect it. As much as I love shooting the shotgun, I do not want to damage it in any way. Any input on the use of steel shot would be appreciated.
