    16ga extractor Archived Message

Got a problem with 16 FWS extractors. I had some shells that was hard comming out of the chambers upon opening durring skeet shooting today. Durring station 2 after doubles when I went to open gun it was very hard but when it did the extractor did not lift. I took a rod from the muzzel end and pushed the empties out at the breech . I finished the round doing the samething at all stations. When I took the forearm off I noticed some heavy metal shavings on the end of the breech where the forend connects to the breech ahead of the hingepin. I check the breech out and it is ok. When I looked at the forend I think the metal shaveings came from the area where the cocking arms are rotated when opening. The cocking arms appear fine and the metal on the forend where the cocking arms rotate look fine. It appears to be right between them where the problem is. I don't recall what it looked like for sure in that area but I think that is the problem. Anybody had similar problems or any suggestiong. Thanks for you help.
