    I have no idea who "J.Stark" is/was, perhaps some of the folks more versed in Hunter Arms employees will know. Regarding the Krazy glue, Ken Hurst recommends it for "stiffening the innards"/sealing the cracks. The acraglas is what I use. The technique is akin to bedding a rifle action, so yes some wood is removed to make room for the glas. I do it in stages for control purposes, first the cracks are forced wider then glas forced in, then wedges removed from crack and the whole wrapped tightly with surgical tubing. Second stage is the actual bedding. I use a dremel tool with a burr bit to make channels under the wood edges, lay in acraglas gel, spray the locks,etc. with LOTS of release compound and put it back together for 3-4 hours. Then take it apart to let the glas "cure"(also makes sure it comes apart!). Sounds more complicated than it is, but the first one tends to be a nail bitter! Good luck, Dr. BILL
