    Ideal Grade-Forend Release Archived Message

Looked at an Ideal Grade, 12 ga., 28" barrels, Hunter One Trigger, pretty nice condition for a "shooter", had a new stock that the wood was exceptionally nice, probably cost as much as the gun was worth at the time. Anyway, I wanted to look and see if the numbers matched on the forend to everything else except the stock. I couldn't get the forend to come off, pushed the roller towards the muzzles, but it would not release from the lug. I made sure the gun was recocked, the gun people in the store tried it, and they couldn't get it off either. Anybody have a solution to this problem as to why it won't come off? I like the gun, very reasonably priced.
