The 16 Field took to the field this morning. I had actually never fired this gun because as I posted yesterday I was a little put off by cosmetic issues. Sixteen birds were taken by three hunters. When the dust settled I had taken 7 birds and counted 12 empty hulls in my game bag. The scruffy looking 16 got an extra rubdown this evening. She did exactly what the Hunters built her to do. The 28" tubes swung true.
Tonight as the Shorthairs lounge by the fire as I hold a wee Dram we'll brag on her. I cherish the high grade guns and wish some of mine fit me better. They were built to go afield don't forget to take them.
